On 15 June the Scheme held its Monitors’ Annual Conference in the sumptuous surroundings of the Stationers’ Hall in the City of London.

The purpose of the event was for the Scheme Monitors from across the country and the administration staff to meet one another in an informal get together.

The day started with an introduction from Scheme Chairman Peter Kingdon, followed by David Hardy, Chief Executive, presenting a short history of the Scheme. The General Manager, Edward Hardy, then narrated some ‘behind the scenes’ footage of the making of the new Scheme promotional film.

Monitors then sat down to a leisurely three course lunch, during which they were asked to discuss examples of the most exceptional activity they had seen on sites in each category of the Scheme Code.

Lunch was followed by a light hearted quiz, with prizes of Scheme polo shirts and mugs awarded to the winning table.

The day was hailed as a great success and Monitors particularly enjoyed meeting their counterparts from across the UK.
