Scheme Director, Doug Goodsir, was invited to Belfast by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) to talk at their Chartered Building Companies (CBC) initiative launch.

The visit also enabled Doug to meet with Bernard Owens, Store Development Manager for Tesco Northern Ireland, and with Ciaran Fox from the Northern Ireland Construction Employers' Federation. Both men were very keen to take the lead in forming closer links with the Scheme and to promote the use of the Scheme in Northern Ireland.

The meeting proved very fruitful, with strong interest shown in growing the Scheme in Northern Ireland. Further meetings will now be arranged to look at the best way to take this forward.
