Mr Fisher’s career has been spent in the property industry, much of it with Abbey National plc, where he was Group Property Director for 15 years prior to taking early retirement at the end of 1999. He specialised in property acquisition, as well as commercial and residential development.

Subsequently he has combined running a consultancy business with non-executive Director roles principally with Housing Associations and is currently a Director with the Heart of England Housing Group.
