Training Events in Belfast
The number of sites in Northern Ireland registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme has seen an increase of some 133% over the past 2 years and the Scheme has recently begun to hold Seminars and Workshops in the region.
The first training events in Northern Ireland were hosted by The Construction Employers’ Federation of Northern Ireland at its headquarters in Belfast. The Seminar and 2 Workshops held during September were very well attended and feedback has been extremely positive.

John Armstrong, Managing Director of the CEF commented: “We are pleased to be able to support the Scheme by holding events such as these. It is important that the industry improves its image and is considerate to the local communities during construction work.”
He continued: “We are delighted with the increase in registrations we have seen over the last year and are keen that this level of growth continues.”
Edward Hardy, General Manager of the Scheme, expressed his thanks to the CEF for hosting the events: “I am grateful to the Construction Employers Federation for the support it gives the Scheme, and in particular for encouraging attendance at our Belfast training events. “
He added: “ I am delighted with the ongoing commitment of constructors in Northern Ireland to the ethos of considerate construction.”
Further Workshops are taking place at the CEF in December. |
