November 2007
Scottish Construction Forum Conference 2007

Building on its continued growth in Scotland, the Considerate Constructors Scheme was one of the exhibitors at the Scottish Construction Forum’s Annual conference on 9 November.
Held at the Perth Concert Hall, the theme of this year’s conference was ‘Commit to a Sustainable Future’. Jim Mather, MSP, Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism opened the conference, which was aimed at enhancing delegates’ awareness of the need for more sustainable development, looking at how the construction industry can translate sustainability into meaningful actions in everyday business.
The Scheme’s stand at the conference generated a great deal of interest, and the experienced site Monitors who ran it were able to explain to delegates how the Scheme has an important role to play in sustainability and the environment, as well as in improving the image of the industry for both the public and the workforce.
