Results from a recent questionnaire issued to its Associate Members by the Considerate Constructors Scheme confirmed a high level of satisfaction with the Scheme’s operation and with the value of Associate Membership.
The Associate body is formed from companies who have proved their commitment to improving the image of the industry through a high number of site registrations that have consistently performed to a high level. Associate Members agree to register all their sites with the Scheme, for a period of three years, and to comply with all aspects of the Scheme's Code.
100% of those questioned declared themselves generally satisfied with the Scheme’s performance with 93% reporting real benefits from their Associate Membership.
Amongst the benefits identified were the sharing of industry information, a heightened level of Scheme awareness at the Associate’s company, and the ability to contribute to future Scheme development plans.
The questionnaire forms part of the Scheme’s ongoing evaluation plans, designed to ensure all industry expectations are taken into account and that the Scheme delivers continuous improvement to its operations. Associate Members, now numbering twenty five companies, convene bi-annually to assist the Scheme’s management in identifying areas for improvement and in shaping new plans for the future.
Commenting on the questionnaire results, General Manager Edward Hardy said: “It is reassuring to know we are operating our Associate Membership along the right lines and are grateful for the feedback and suggestions that resulted from the questionnaire. Our Associate Members’ knowledge and viewpoint is vital for the continuous development of the Scheme.”
