Set up in 1997, the Scheme continues to go from strength to strength and now registers over 700 UK construction sites a month. Charged with the responsibility for improving the image of construction, the Scheme monitors all its registered sites to encourage improvements in working practices or to praise sites, where they are performing well.
Edward Hardy, General Manager of the Scheme, commented: “We are delighted to have again received support from the Government and are grateful to the Minister for recognising the benefits that registration with the Scheme has for the UK’s construction industry.” |
