SITE MONITORING
All registered sites are monitored to assess their performance against the Scheme’s Code of Considerate practice.
The Monitors’ role is to encourage the site to want to perform to a higher level. Monitors will either praise a site for initiatives/activities that are beyond the standard requirements or suggest areas that could be improved.
It is not the Monitors’ role to explain to sites specifically what they have to do to perform to a higher level, but simply to monitor what the site is doing. It is the responsibility of the sites to look for ways to outperform.
Monitors are selected from the senior ranks of the construction industry and, when monitoring sites, are acting as informed members of the public. Broadly speaking, Monitors are looking to see that sites present a professional, positive image of the construction industry.
